MUSICSTAR® Band & Orchestra

Most MUSICSTAR® Band and Orchestra programs are available for students in grade 3 and up. Students use curriculum and book resources that explore general music literacy, instrumental techniques, musicianship, ensemble playing, rhythmic and melodic accuracy, aesthetics and more. As with all MUSICSTAR® programs, students work on music to be performed in showcases and student recitals. MUSICSTAR® elementary school music classes are effective feeder programs for middle and high school music programs.

Available Modules:

Concert Band:
Most common instrumentation: Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone, Alto Saxophone, Percussion.
Grade 3 and up.

Marching Band:
Most common instrumentation: Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Alto Saxophone, Euphonium, Tuba, Percussion.
Grade 5 and up.

Violin Ensemble:
Instrumentation: Violins of different sizes to accommodate different ages.
Grade 1 and up

String Orchestra:
Most common instrumentation: Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass
Grade 5 and up

Symphony Orchestra:
Most Common Instrumentation: Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, French Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba, Percussion, Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass.

Small Ensemble:
Most Common Instrumentation: Varies
Grade 2 and up

Jazz Band:
Most Common Instrumentation: Varies
Grade 6 and up

Combo Band:
Most Common Instrumentation: Varies
Grade 6 and up
