MUSICSTAR® Learning | Programs
MUSICSTAR® offers a great variety of program options for all age groups and musical abilities. The basis for all MUSICSTAR® programs is a standards-based curriculum that teaches students not only technique relevant to the particular instrument, but also music literacy, musicianship, aesthetics, and an understanding of music as an art form in context with other art forms, subjects and historical periods. All MUSICSTAR® programs also seek to help students improve self confidence and public speaking skills, by speaking and performing in front of others. Many of our long-term school and afterschool music programs also include strong service learning components, that include students sharing their newly acquired musical skills with the community. For example, many students continue to participate in group music facilitation in seniors homes, and performances for a variety of groups and occasions. Please browse some of the main categories for more information on specific instrumental or vocal programs. |
